Frustrating...

OK, so I had this huge blog all typed up and was trying to add pictures...and I even saved it several times...went to preview it because the pictures were disappearing on me when i was trying to move them inside the "new post" before publishing it...and it is GONE!!!! What the heck...so frustrated. I have decided to put the computer down for the night and try again tomorrow because if I don't walk away right now the computer just may be out the window.

So...until tomorrow...I am moving on from my frustration and leaving the circle...ha ha

a new gadget...

Well, I decided to skip the month of February in the way of blogging.

So, here is to March...and on te first day of March, I bought myself a new gadget...YIPPEE!!!! I went and bought myself a Nikon D3100...yep, I sure did. And I am so excited...Got it all unpacked tonight...and I have no stinking idea how to use it. I took a couple basic pictures, but I have no idea about the settings or what all it does. Now the goal is to watch the video that came with it so I can learn more about it. I may even take a beginner Digital SLR class. I look forward to taking lots of great pictures of my sweet girls.

Breakfast...for Dinner?

Do you ever get home from work and just say, "Let's have breakfast for dinner."? I really LOVE breakfast and since my Hub isn't much of a eater in the morning, I sometimes decide to have breakfast for dinner. And that is exactly what happened this evening.

For Christmas my cousin Brian and his wife Erin got us a package of Betty's Diner pancake mix. Apparently it is this really great diner in Berkeley and they have AWESOME pancakes. They typically get us some really great food items as our Christmas gift and let me tell you, everything they get us is always AMAZING!

We had pancakes and bacon for dinner. The pancakes were soooo good. Lexie loved them so much she asked for seconds. Luckily we had leftovers, so I put them in the freezer for Lexie to have this weekend. And the bacon, it was prefect..crispy, but not burnt. Just the way my Hub likes it.

Sadly, I forgot to make the country potatoes to go with our pancakes and bacon...bummer.

All in all, it was a yummy dinner...Can't wait to have breakfast for dinner again.

To Accomplishment and Moose on her Birthday...

Accomplishment is a wonderful thing...Even though I was out on Monday with sick kids, I feel like I actually got a lot accomplished at work this week. Old files put in storage and current files moved around...in addition to my weekly routine of things to do...I think i will give myself a small pat on the back...I stayed focused and it feels so good to get it all don by weeks end...

OK, so on to Moose...Today after work we headed over to Presto & Eryn's house for a Surprise Birthday Party for Moose. John, Julia and kids, Kandi, Jerry, and kid, Ryan, Lisa, Jeff, Giovanni, Larkspur, Preston, Eryn and kids...it was a house full of people and half were kids...it was AWESOME!!!! And the food was amazing. I cannot remember the last time we all got together. I miss hanging out with everyone. Lexie has the best time playing with everyone. Lexie and John were eating each other's noses (it's a Sannar family thing) and Jakey joined in...it was really cute, we were all laughing so hard.

So, getting home at 9:40 tonight was way past every one's bedtimes...Got the kids in bed and finally get to sit down in front of my laptop... I am able to get a short blog in about my evening...

Thank you to everyone for the...GOOD TIMES!!!

Sickness...

Man, do I feel like I am out of the loop in life this past week...

My girls and I have been sick since last Friday - of course my Hub hasn't gotten it (lucky him). Didn't even step out of the house over the weekend (how sad)...Fever, runny noses (like a faucet turned on high), ear aches, crankiness, crying, sleepless nights...you name it and it arrived at my house over a 5 day period of time that quite honestly felt like an entire month. So, with ZERO energy to blog after taking care of both my sick girls I have lapsed in my blogger duties. I am disappointed, but today is a new day as is tomorrow and I have vowed to myself to get back in the rhythm of nightly blogging...not for anyone else, but for myself...

So, after a trip to the Doctor's office for both on Monday morning...it was concluded that they both have RSV (respiratory Virus) and ear infections in the right ear...yes, they for some reason mimic each other and have gotten ear infections in the same ear...how lovely...So, antibiotics they prescribed and home we went...and laying on the couch we did while watching Princess and the Frog 5 times...I think I know every word in that darn movie by now...Lexie sure does, she walks around the house saying "It's not slime, it's mucus!"...ha ha

So, after this almost week of Sickness in my house...I remind myself that I am a "glass half full" kinda gal and tell myself that it could have been so much worse...one could have gotten sick right after the other one (instead of at the same time as they did) and I would have spent more time cleaning up vomit and gotten less sleep...which would have probably prolonged my sickness even more...How sweet my girls are to help me by being sick at the same time...And I am sure my boss appreciates it as I was only off work one day instead of what could have possibly been and entire week.

So, with that being said..thank you to the powers that be for allowing my girls to get sick and vomit all over me at the same time...What would I have done without you???

Until tomorrow...

Hives...

Hives..YUCK!!!

Definition: an itchy skin eruption characterized by weals with pale interiors and well-defined red margins; usually the result of an allergic response to insect bites or food or drugs.

WOW, that really doesn't sound like something anyone want to have...

Well, Phil woke up this morning with the majority of his body covered in Hives...in addition, he left eye was swollen halfway shut. I felt so bad for him. I have never had Hives before, nor have I ever seen them on someone. It was making me itch thinking about them itching him.

Luckily, Phil went to the pharmacy and picked up some Benadryl...took it and by late afternoon he was feeling much better. I just wish we knew what gave him the hives in the first place.

A Day with Lexie...

Today was a no school for Lexie and no work day for me...so, Phil dropped off Sammie at Lynn's house so I could spend some quality time with JUST Lexie.

We started our day with a morning open play session at Kids Party Central. Boy, did Lexie have a blast. They have this giant Jumpy slide that she went on about 20 times all by herself. That jumpy slide was about 25 feet tall...and the ladder to get to the top was super steep. Lexie also enjoyed the ball pit, climb through jungle gym and enclosed car jumpy. By the time the hour and a half of open play was over, she was exhausted.

So, we headed over to Nonie's office to pick her up and take her to lunch. And after lunch we stopped at the bakery and Lexie picked out the biggest cookie she could see. Thank you to Nonie for buying her a cookie that got her so wired she wouldn't take a nap...

What a great day we had together...I love BOTH of my girls, but I have to be honest in saying that it is nice to have a day with just one at a time.

I am so blessed....
