Lexie Turns 1...

WOW...how time flies by...My little baby is no longer a baby...she has graduated to toddlerhood...YIKES!!! Lexie had her first of two birthday parties...yes, I did say two parties...One for the family...40 people to be exact (and we didn't even invite everyone) and one for close friends. it was a great time...Lexie had a lot of fun. I think everyone had a great time...

We were soooo happy that Lexie's childcare provider, Lynn could be a party of Lexie's special day...

Cousins Christina and Mia...

Uncle Bill, Nana, Grandpa, GG and Auntie Toodie...

Uncle Kenny and Auntie Candace...

Auntie Marilyn, Grandma Sue, cousin Desenia, and Auntie Linda...on Daddy's side...

Well, my little girl loves singing and music...she is always dancing around whenever she hears singing or music...but the look on her face when all 40 of us sang Happy Birthday" to her...it wash hilarious...It was a stunned look...like she had no idea what was happening...

After the singing was over she clapped and smiled...too bad we didn't get a picture of that...bummer...maybe we got it on video...we ahven't looked at the vie=deo from the party yet...

Then came the cake...and wow does my kid LOVE cake...at first she wasn't too sure about it, but she pretty much had her hand on it the minute I put it in front of her...

But then after she got a hand in it...she was ALL IN...looking up at me to make sure it was OK..well, OK...more like "hee hee Mama look what I am doing"

And the mess she made...it was great and she was having the BEST time...I am so glad we stripped her down before the cake...My Mom and I had to get in the shower with her to get all the icing off her...

Lexie got some really great toys and clothes for her firthday...she was fond of a CD player she got from her Grandma...

and also loved the Dora Scooter Nonie got her...

Peter, Jeannette and the kids got Lexie this AWESOME Alphabet Train...she really enjoys the music on it...she plays with I at home quite a bit...and loves to push it around the room.

Finally at the end of the day Lexie was able to go swimming and hang out in the pool...and on the way home she fell asleep in the car. This was the first time since she was born that she didn't wake up when I took her out of her car seat...I think she had a great but exhausting day...thanks to everyone for coming...we will remember it always...
