YIKES...two posts in one week...I MUST be sick?

So, today was the first night of "Summer Nights on the Green". The Town of Windsor has changed their summer schedule for the Thursday Night Market and Summer on the Green. Every Thursday night they now have music and on Tuesday nights they have a kids movie.

So, we have lived in Windsor for 4 years now and have NEVER done a Thursday night on the green. Sad, I know...it is free entertainment...what have we been thinking...? So, my friend Kristen (she has a little boy Peyton that is two months younger than Lexie) invited Lexie and I to join her family for our first Music on the Green...I have been sooo excited about it, but a bit worried that Lexie would go crazy crying with all the new people around her. So, we (My Mom, Lexie and I) got there and made our way to the Gentry Family Spot...we whipped out the blanket and sat down... Lexie seemed happy to be there...she was hanging out outside with a bunch of her favorite toys...she met a bunch of new people and didn't cry once. She had the best time playing and sharing toys with Peyton. She was just soooo happy and she was self -entertained the entire time. The music was great and the company was even better. We had a great time and the Gentry's are a great group of people.

We stayed until 7:45pm and then started to head to the car...when we saw Brian and Emily...we chatted for a bit...it was great to catch up and they haven't seen Lexie since the the run/walk we did with them at the beginning of the year.

Poor little Lexie was so tired by the time we got home...Phil spent a bit of quality time with her before she headed to bed...I am sure she will sleep soundly tonight.

Tomorrow is Friday...and that means Nonie's day with Lexie. She always enjoys her time with her Nonie.
